OBS does not recognise audio input devices

Hello,
In the audio settings (Microphone/AUX audio), various audio devices (internal Mac mic, external mic, bluetooth headset) are shown , but when I select them, the peak meter shows no level and nothing can be heard.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Many thanks in advance.

In prior versions, that was often associated with end-user failure to properly set Operating System Permissions on those source devices for OBS Studio
if that doesn't solve your issue, don't ignore the pinned post in this forum regarding asking for help with problems. Checking the automated log analyzer first is always a good idea.

- though not your immediate issue, don't ignore checking and resolving any audio sampling rate mismatches

Check in Audio Midi Setup (the application, not the system settings) that the microphone you want to use is selected as the active input device. Also, make sure the global audio settings in OBS are OK.
