Hello! Can someone help me with this log file? OBS disconnects and reconnects continuously.
It is not an internet problem as the network continues to function correctly but OBS loses the connection.
this happens only when I use the ethernet cable, if it's via wifi I have no problem.
The errors in my log file are these:
02: 09: 36.381: WriteN, RTMP send error 10054 (4097 bytes)
02: 09: 36.381: WriteN, RTMP send error 10054 (80 bytes)
02: 09: 36.381: WriteN, RTMP send error 10038 (42 bytes)
02: 09: 36.381: [rtmp stream: 'adv_stream'] Disconnected from rtmp: //mil.contribute.live-video.net/app
02: 09: 36.381: Output 'adv_stream': stopping

Thank you in advance!

I am having the same problem. My cpu is at 30% - 50%. I have changed cables. I have changed USB ethernet adapters. I have tried different ports. I have updated drivers and changed every power management setting I can find. It is not an internet issue. Even when it disconnects, wifi is working fine. It only disconnects inside obs. Windows shows the adapter is disabled. Then it will magically enable itself...for a while. This started about two weeks ago. Could a windows update be the problem? When obs disconnects the ethernet, it also causes my USB audio volume to bottom out. If I physically remove the USB ethernet adapter, the audio returns to normal. I am at a point of having to broadcast live using wifi.

Please DO NOT hijack other users' threads. Your issue is almost definitely unrelated to the original poster's problem. Open your own thread, preferably including a logfile from a streaming or recording session where the issue occurred.

OBS will not disconnect your ethernet adapter. From the symptoms described, it sounds more like your machine has a significant issue with the general USB subsystem, if multiple USB devices are failing at once. This isn't an OBS-specific problem, and is out-of-scope for OBS support.

Considering the original post said, "OBS disconnects and reconnects continuously. I am having the same issue and only offered some additional issues I have noticed at the same time.

I understand what you are saying about the cause about my issue possibly being something beyond obs, but the problem only happens in OBS.

Following up when you are experiencing the same symptoms is not hijacking the thread. It is asking for help.

The problem is, you're conflating similar symptoms as having the same troubleshooting/fix process.
If the root cause of the problems is different, hijacking a thread because the symptoms sound similar only serves to confuse and muddy the progression of trying to help the thread originator with a fix, because they are two separate issues. It's why we ask that you open your own thread. It keeps things tidy, when the source of your problem has nothing to do with anything else in the thread, even if it is causing vaguely similar effects.

For example, imagine a thread about 'this thing is honking, how do I make it stop'.
The original poster has their car stopped at a green light. (Fix: Move your car.)
The second poster has a homicidal clown standing behind them. (Fix: Run faster than the clown.)
The third poster has the misfortune of catching the attention of a goose. (Fix: Also run faster than the clown.)

So yes. Please open a new thread for your unrelated problem, do not hijack others' even if the symptoms seem vaguely similar.
It cuts down on geese carjacking people to run over clowns.
