Question / Help OBS DISCONNECTING AND RECONNECTING HELP

  • Hey everyone so i stream on twitch with two different PC's (gaming and streaming PC) the gaming PC is hardwired to routermodem and the streaming PC (one i run OBS on) is using a wireless USB adapter to connect to internet. So the first few weeks of streaming everything went fine then popped up a issue like 4-5 days ago where OBS will randomly disconnect and reconnect. I've tried resetting stream key, lowering bitrate to 2600, and updating OBS to newest version and still no luck. Would hard wiring streaming PC to router help? I've read others having problems like this but im going to post my log here because i really need help this is honestly losing me viewers and followers hence losing me $$ as well..
Thanks for help.

According to the log, you are dropping a fair bit of frames, and then eventually getting send errors:

22:20:17.068: WriteN, RTMP send error 10054 (4097 bytes)
22:20:17.068: WriteN, RTMP send error 10053 (80 bytes)
22:20:17.068: WriteN, RTMP send error 10038 (42 bytes)

which leads to a disconnect. This is probably the wifi, as wifi is not the best for streaming since it's pretty lossy by nature. Hard wired is always the better option.

I hardwired my stream PC to the router and still the same issue, can I have some type of help here please this is affecting my viewers and it’s very annoying!!

Make sure that you are using the same network technology throughout your entire network.

If you do something as simple as using the wrong cable, it will reduce your network down to the lowest common denominator - the cable.
If you got Fast Gigabit Ethernet ports on both rigs, you need to use Fast Gigabit Cat 5/6 cabling (1000Mpbs), not Fast Ethernet cabling (10-100Mbps).

Same goes true for the router, switches, and hubs on the network. Must all be Fast Gigabit equipment.
