Question / Help OBS dedicated to gamer or teacher?

Hi,

Does OBS is mainly dedicated to gamers and teachers or could be use to stream audio/video from a capture card like Blackmagic and/or RME Audio cards?

Most directshow compatible devices will work fine on windows.
The counterpart to directshow on mac and linux allows devices to work on those platforms provided the devices are supported by those APIs.
Blackmagic devices work through the blackmagic api on all three platforms.
