OBS Cursor Recorder - Records cursor movement to file making it possible to open in software like After Effects.

Records mouse movement to a file and opens it in After Effects. Use with OBS Studio as an external Python script or if you prefer a more manual approach, using the standalone Python script. Then use the After Effects script to import the generated cursor movement data. This is an open-source project you can check out on GitHub.

@malkasun sorry for getting back to you late I don't know how to enable notifications for this thread

Did you read the How to use section? Please let me know where you're stuck I'd love to help.

In broad picture though
1. You have to install this script into OBS, record whatever you want.
2. Then you'll have a text file with the cursor movement,
I have an After Effects script that loads you the movement but in theory there's nothing stopping you from using it with any other program.

I'd love to make an actual tutorial teaching how to make a tutorial with this when I have some time :)

I recommend everyone to untick the checkbox "use video FPS" cause it will cause timecode issues in the saved text file.
