Hello!

I have a problem since a few days. The problem is OBS create lags every few secounds only when OBS is open - no record, no stream.
- And that on the main montior while playing. (monitor #1, 1440p 144hz, monitor #2 1080p 72hz)

The problem started since i replaced my GPU and RAM. If OBS is not open, everything is working perfect.

I created a clean scene & profile, but the problem still exists. I have no idea anymore.

12900K,
DDR5 32GB 6400
ASUS RTX 4090 OC

before the change:
12900K,
DDR5 32GB 5200
Gainward RTX 3090 GS

Any idea to find the problem?

#GPU driver - fresh reinstalled
#OBS reinstalled

Please restart OBS and perform a test stream/recording of at least 30 seconds doing as you normally do, including playing games, full camera or whatever you normally do.
Now look inside Help menu. Upload the current log file and paste the url to the log in here. Click on the Analize button to start troubleshooting common issues.

Make sure the CPU and the GPU are not overclocked.

Where is the analize button?

Fix the Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduler (turn off) and run OBS as admin.
Make sure all the audio sources are at the same sample rate. Set OBS at 48Khz and the same to the audio sources. All this is described in the analizer.
Test.

For recording it's adviced to use CQP, setting the CQ level between 23 and 15 (lower better quality). Unless you are recording several separated audio channels for a later edition, use simple output mode and select one of the presets that accomodate to your liking.
Try using the Auto-configuration Wizard (toold menu) and apply the settings it suggest. Restart OBS (important!). Test.
Try the HEVC encoder too.

Now, about the 4090, it's new, just added to the GPU driver, you may expect issues with it, and it needs new MOBO, CPU, RAM, M.2 SSD that are still not released.
You mentioned that you also replaced the RAM. Check if you need to update the BIOS in order to work as intended.

Lot's of issues with that log that need to be addressed.

Did you MemTest that new RAM? I mean HAMMER it?

Anyway, don't waste your time with v28.0.3, it's not ready for the 4000 series.

You'll have access to the AV1 encoder & the H264/HEVC P1 - P7 Presets too. Better quality & throughput than the old.
