Obs crashing while gaming

Hello all,

I don't now what to do anymore.
When i'm gaming (mostly D4) my OBS always charing after 20-30 min

But then everything is crashing ! Google Chrome, OBS and D4.
When i play without OBS i can play all day long.

and i cant find whats the problem is.

In the log. i have a scene with both Winow and gamecapture (for streamavatars)
in the past i hadn't SteamAvatars and had crashes too.

I dunno why it says it was not in Admin mode, because it was.
Than i saw there is a plugin ? i deleted it but its still there.

I will make a clean install of OBS (again), plugins i dont need anymore. so i won't install some.

But i don't now, my system work fine if i dont stream :(
some ideas from the logfile ? i rly dont now how to " read " find the problem in the logfile

Hello, i want to edit the post , or better update it.

i reinstalled OBS.
i could stream for 1 1/2 hour.
then it startet to be very laggy, i checked task manager, and my gpu was on 100%
OBS was like on 70%+

well im glad i had no crash(es)
but now this Problem appears xD
what can i do ? some ideas ?

Yes, there's a help menu with much help in it built in OBS.

yes, thats why i updated the post.
OBS didnt crashed, but after 1 1/2 hour of streaming, the stream got very laggy, then i checked task manager and it says obs had 70% gpu
everything was fine, until this point, out of nowhere. and i don't know why OBS went to 70% on GPU
I only have a scene with my camera , my mic and desktop view.

and in the first post, where i uploaded the large file where OBS crashed, there is no crash in the filename ?
i never had "crash" OBS crashed -> closed -> game closed itself. and the logfile was always without crash

A "crash" is if some app is terminating itself unexpectedly. A game is crashing, if it suddenly vanishes and you're on the desktop and you're unable to find it any more in the task list. This is called "crash to desktop" (ctd). OBS is crashing, if it isn't running any more. Usually, you get a popup that says OBS has crashed and you get a crash logfile in the crash logfile directory (Help->Crash Reports->Show Crash Reports).

If a recording or streaming process just stops unexpectedly, but OBS is still running, it isn't a crash. This is just unexpected behavior.
A crash is a completely different thing with completely different reasons than some recording or streaming stopping unexpectedly. If you say you have a crash but it isn't, you're leading any analysis and troubleshooting in a completely wrong direction.

So start fresh with a description of your issue and post a log that was created while that issue happened. The log you posted above is an almost fine 2 hours streaming session that exhibits slight system overloading, so you got slight frame losses. While gaming+recording, your computer is at the edge of being overloaded. But this session looks fine and was ended by you clicking the button to stop streaming - all fine.

Try to tune down the game graphics settings, so it consumes less resources. I also observed you have one monitor connected to your iGPU instead of your Nvidia GPU. I don't know if it's important, but if you capture stuff from that monitor, it will have a performance impact. If possible, connect it to your Nvidia GPU as well or switch it off while you troubleshoot your issue.

oooooh i have never seen the crash report section omg....
before i reinstalled OBS i never had the problem that OBS took 70+% GPU and that the stream startet to struggle.

The logfile ssems ok, and yes i stopped streaming because the stream was ultra lagging.
Im Playing D4 in "Mid" Settings, i mean a 3070 Ti should do this ? and it worked before

it was my bad on the first post, because i didnt new there are crash reports, i thought thats the logfiles... im so sorry

actually it works, until the GPU overload?
but why now ? and what can i do ?

the next stream can be tomorrow, then i will check it again with the GPU.

About the monitor, i have 3 one im using for work and my privat pc and its connectet to a docking station that i can switch after work.
But i will try to turn it off next time

If OBS actually crashes, we need the crash log, because the dying OBS is writing its memory and dll structure to that log, so we are able to identify in which part or module of OBS the crash took place.

technically, "crash" is action taken by OS to prevent worse failure (that can lead to physical damage etc etc). OS just terminates application from harming anything (your data, your security, your hardware etc). OS always monitoring program's actions for anomalies.

You need to fix your network adapter as its working at 100mb instead of the 2500mb capacity. If the modem / router isn't at least 1000mb, change it. Some times you can modify this in the driver itself or updating the driver to it's latest version solves it. Look in the motherboards support site for your specific motherboard drivers and update them. It could need a BIOS update too. Please be aware of the risks.

Your computer is more than capable to do 1080p 60fps recordings and streaming.
For games is recommended to use game or window capture, not dispaly capture. Keep display capture in a separated scene.

tried to stream right now.
again after 20 min obs got over 80% GPU
so the stream startet to "freeze"

i dont know what i can do, before i reinstalled obs, i "just" had problems with random crashes, but the gpu never overloaded like now?
there is no crash file i stopped the stream because it was freezed.

Dunno.. maybe again uninstall and install ?

Ok
i turned the Game Mode on Win 11 to off (dont know why it was on)
set Diablo 4 to LOW
then i disabled Nvidia Broadcast on my cam for remoce background (but it had only 1% gpu before)
then on the graphic settings there is an option "optimize on window mode games" i activated it

i streamend for 2 hour without problems

Windows Game Mode should be ON, unless microsoft managed to broke it again.
HAGS should be OFF.
Diablo has issues when streaming form a single PC.
nvidia broadcast also has its issues.

All this was already covered multiple times in the past year or 2 years.
