(Sorry if double posted. Previous attempt vanished) Hi All! I have a crash issue with OBS. Running most current macOS and OBS. Every time I load a VLC Video source, a crash happens 5+ minutes in, but the time can range from 5-20 minutes in, Usually around 10-15. It's not immediate. Attached is a log file of a recent test. For this test I deleted the obs-studio file in Application Support, started OBS, let it sit for 40 minutes to see if failure would happen, and then loaded a VLC video. Everything else was complete default. Crash happened 12 minutes later. Anyone else experiencing this?

Here is my most recent crash log and all others have the same termination reason:

Yes I am experiencing the same, as are several others, see:

I don't know how to fix, but at least for me using OBS 24.x seems to work okay but has its own problems

Actually I am seeing promising results using "Media Source" instead of "Vlc Video Source", so if that works for your video file I'd give it a shot

I'm also seeing problems with OBS crashing when using VLC source. OBS Studio 25.0.8 (64-bit), Catalina 10.15.5. I saw a bug report from another poster saying that it's a problem with Apple's encoder and VLC.

Also having this problem, macOS mojave, OBS 26.0.2, Apple Hardware VT Encoder, and VLC Media Source. Have changed them all for regular media source to see what happens now

I see this is old, but this just happened to me. The interesting thing is, when I tried to use a .wav file, OBS crashed consistently, but when I used a .mp3 file, it worked without incident. I don't know if that's helpful or not, but I thought I'd report it so the developers would be aware of it.

Macbook Pro, Apple M1 Pro chip, MacOS Ventura, Version 13.5.2, OBS Studio 29.1.3 (64 bit), VLC 3.0.18 (Apple silicon)
