Question / Help obs crashing when doing "video capture device"

Hi, I have an elgato hd60, I can confirm it works fine, because it works through the game capture hd program no problem. Somewhere after updating, either both the elgato drivers or obs version this started happening..

What could of caused this?

Basically when I goto "video capture device" click configure nothing pops up which I think used to happen but it still streamed fine, now it just crashes, not even sure if that's a full log but followed all the posting instructions.. please let me know any input you may have.

I've tried different versions of both elgato software and obs versions, still the same issue.
