Question / Help OBS crashing upon playing a game with latest update. Help please!

So this morning I updated OBS to the latest version. Every time I launch a multiplayer game of Battlefield 1, upon OBS crashing, it also crashes my game, chrome and a few other apps running. Anyone know what the problem is?

If other applications are crashing as well, this indicates some kind of system instability. I would be quick to blame faulty RAM in this case, as the crash log looks truncated and does not contain the full information, which can indicate a RAM issue.You might be running out of available RAM completely, which is causing this.
 
I also see a non-standard plugin I've never heard of in this log:

C:\Program Files (x86)\obs-studio\obs-plugins\64bit\OBS_Studio_status_export_x64.dll

Any idea what that is?
 
I am beginning to suspect malware, if multiple applications are crashing and there is a rogue .dll file being added to OBS' directories.

Can you get me a normal log file as well?

That is extremely bizarre. Can you send me the plugin file itself? I'd like to inspect it to see what it could be doing.
 
You might need to zip it up first to upload. This is not a normal OBS plugin, so I'm very confused where it could have come from.
 
Thanks, might be a bit before I can sort out what this thing is doing.

In the meantime, I would recommend grabbing malwarebytes and running a scan of your PC to make sure you have no malware.
