Just to let ya know that a few days ago I installed OBS, and then set it up to stream "The Sims 4" on Twitch. I then loaded up "The Sims 4" game, and I was going to travel to different place, and then "The Sims 4" crashed, put up an error that said "The Sims 4 stopped working, and to close the game, so I did that. I then tried loading up the game without OBS running, and the same thing happened, so I decided to completely uninstall OBS, and try playing "The Sims 4", and then it played normal, and didn't crash on me, so basically with OBS installed "The Sims 4" crashes.

Uh, I've just tried the same thing (Sims 4 was also crashing when travelling) and uninstalling OBS did the trick. And it wasn't running when I tried to play, either. Once might be coincidental, but twice is kind of odd. No one's fault, not throwing blame, and actually quite glad because I was going crazy trying to figure out a way to fix this travel bug. Kinda boring when your sims are stuck at home.

It is not caused by OBS being installed -- it's most likely game capture, or a potential conflict with game capture active on the computer. A workaround is to run the game in a borderless/windowed mode and use window capture if there are any issues with game capture (and remove game capture from your scene if it's there). Game capture cannot be guaranteed to work 100% with every single game.

1. Open Origin

2. Hover your mouse pointer over the Sims4 icon in your library and click on the "i" button to view the game info.

3. Click on Game Properties

4. Put a check in the box that says "Disable Origin in Game for this game"

There is my fix. Hope this helps everybody.
