Hi all,

I recently began trying to use OBS to stream some Dark Age of Camelot. About 50%, OBS will stream successfully. The other 50%, OBS crashes with the following error:

System specs are:
i5 4670k OC'd to 4.4 ghz
Two Nvidia GTX 770 SLI
16 gigs 1600mhz ram

OBS log below

Error: Texture->Map failed: 0x887a0005 0x887a0020

Your video driver reported an internal error. Please check for possible hardware / driver issues. This error can also occur if you have enabled opencl in x264 custom settings.

Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated.

Disable SLI and try again.

Also why the hell is your scene buffering set to 60?!

R1CH,

I just disabled SLI in the NVidia control panel, rebooted and I'm still getting the same error.

I have no clue why scene buffering was set to 60 - looks like that's default setting - should it be increased?

The default scene buffering is 700, but that isn't the cause of your problems. Just a very odd setting.

Try removing and using each 770 individually. The error you're getting basically means your GPU / video drivers crashed internally, which could indicate faulty hardware or a bad overclock or similar.

Hi R1CH,

I just tried removing and using each 770 individually. Got the error still. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers with each 770 installed. Still getting the error. Can this have anything to do with my CPU overclock? I don't have any reason to believe that either 770 is faulty / bad. Do you have any other ideas?

Yea, if that's the case, this is caused by SLI or multiple cards. Besides, SLI usually works fine most of the time. Unfortunately, not entirely sure why this is occurring. Hardware or driver issues is the most likely suspect, rarely do I ever see such an error for general desktop GPUs so I'm not sure if I could make any particular suggestion, other than to check your hardware, check your software, check anything you can to see what can fix the issue. Not the best suggestion I know, but unfortunately I don't know quite what else to do. If you do figure out what it is, or what makes it stop occurring for your machine, please make sure to let us know as well.
