Very beginner. [Separately - I have been having issues getting an iPad or any other external source to display in NDI sources in OBS - another thread on that one.]

OBS now is crashing repeatedly. Any help greatly appreciated - please bear in mind my beginner status.

I cant include a log file as it crashes so quickly. However have attached the crash 'log'.

Regards,

Then, in case easy to analyze, and you don't want to wait, you should try and see what the Log-Analyzer says about your log file:
Then, lots of people posts OBS guides without context, so beware getting overly ambitious. (unless you have a brand new US$5,000+ dollar workstation)
First- hopefully you realize that real-time video encoding is VERY computationally demanding. [Repeat the word VERY many times, and you start to be in the ballpark]. I recommend monitoring hardware resource (CPU, GPU, RAM, Disk I/O, etc) utilization [for ex. using Task manager’s Performance tab and/or Resource Monitor] to see if your system is being maxed out with your settings https://obsproject.com/wiki/General-Performance-and-Encoding-Issues and https://obsproject.com/wiki/GPU-overload-issues

So start simple, avoid plugins, especially ones like StreamElements that puke all over OBS log, and have other code quality issues, and filter/effects like Chroma-keying, etc. You can start a adding filters/effects, etc after you get something working. Thaen do monitoring. Then layer on as your system can handle it.. you'll get much further, with less frustration, with this approach

Here's the quick-start guide: I'd also recommend watching the Nerd or Die tutorial video series:

Lawrence, thanks so much for detail. I also feel that it is likely CPU related that it crashed. I've not yet reviewed your details. But thank you.

WBE - I have no path that corresponds to what is proposed. Within path \appdata\roaming\obs-studio\logs was the file I loaded originally with the ticket.
