OBS crashing every time I try to remove an audio filter

The post title pretty much explains the problem I'm having. Each time I try to remove an audio filter (todays issue was from a mic input source) OBS crashes. The only way I can remove the filter, is to recreate the audio source without it.

This has been happening for a while, and the update to version 27 didn't solve it.

Any ideas?

Can you provide please which filter...?

The last log line at least says "Failed reading json string..."
This is (at least) a sign that the configuration consists of invalid characters. Proof if this error doesn't occur when you leave out that filter.
