Hello, I've been using OBS Virtual cam for Whatnot 2 years with no problems. Lately, my computer is locking up and I am getting a blue screen sometimes. OBS crashes. and I am getting super laggy feeds. I have un installed and rebuilt my whole show with smaller source file sizes. I have really tried to understand the log files and crash files but its Greek to me. I was running at 1920x1080 at 30 fps. and tried dropping down the fps out of desperation. I don't stream anywhere just use the virtual camera feature. This is my livlihood and I can't afford for there to be super laggy video and crashes. I would be eternally grateful for any help. I can upload more log/crash files if that helps. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I am happy to provide any additional information you may need to help me figure this out. I have lost days of sleep over this.

understand frustration.... looks like you have multiple of same files upload above (courtesy to volunteers would be to remove the duplicates)

Have you used the automated OBS Studio log analyzer (see my .sig for link)?
I see numerous errors from FACECAM... have you tried removing the ios webcam plugin entirely?
Are you using OBS Studio's virtual camera output? if yes, what for? and have you tested with that turned off?

Hello! The crash logs you posted are crashes because of your source-dock plugin, you'd want to make sure it is up to date and reach out to the developer if you are still crashing. That is unrelated to the bluescreens you described which the OBS logs will provide no information on as that would either be a hardware or driver problem, not anything that you can fix within OBS.

Thank you for taking the time to reply I really appreciate it. I am struggling to understand all of the "behind the scenes" technical stuff but I will try to give you the best picture.

I have used the log analyzer and all seems to be fine there. I use the virtual camera as my cameras source on the whatnot platform. I seem to have the same issues with it on or off. Here is how I am set up.

FACECAM- Is actually a facecam so the viewers can see me.
IOS Camera- I use my iPhone as a camera to show my store setup. It is always on the screen and it is where I showcase my product.

I can try to remove that plugin and reinstall it.

Now I am getting an entirely new issue: I created a new scene to try just a few source files and this is what my log file looks like now. "no virtual camera on"

Thank you, I have removed Source Dock It is convenient but not necessary. The blue screen appeared when everything became unresponsive and crashed, sometimes I got it and sometimes I had to just manually restart. I am in no way smart enough to know if OBS is the cause but I do know that my computer only crashes during live shows. Something OBS is using Hardware or other is locking everything up.. Sadly, I am sure I am the source of the problem because I am afraid I probably have set this up all wrong. I have tried to make my files relatively small so I don't bog everything down. I do not stream or record. I only use virtual camera. The last few times I have used it is almost impossible to see anything through the pixelation. It eventually clears up but it will then crash after time.

Regardless of how you have set things up OBS would not be the direct cause of any system crash/blue screen. This would be an issue with hardware or drivers,

Thanks again I really appreciate your responsiveness. I am sure it is exhausting helping people like me who don't have vast knowledge in this area and are desperate for help. In my above response to @Lawrence_SoCal I posted my latest log file referencing CUDA, does this give us any insight on what driver may be the problem?

Yes it is your GPU, you have enabled hardware decoding on all of your sources and it is hitting a limit. Turn off hardware decoding on a few of them and you should be good.

This is fantastic! I hope this helps. I have lost weeks of sleep over this. I can't properly get the bills paid until I figure this out. I am eternally grateful for your help. It has been killing me. I am praying this makes a big difference.

Would this be why my video was so pixelated on the output side of the virtual camera?

Also, Any idea why I get hundreds of warnings saying "Could not update timestamps for skipped samples." It seems to happen every time i hide a source.

UPDATE: I have removed IOS Camera and gone with Elgato Epoccam So far It seems to be more stable. I will update if I run into any more issues.
