Question / Help OBS crashes with new LogiTech C-920

Let me preface this by saying that I may be the most PC/OBS naive person in this forum, so please don't be offended by anything that I may say. I have looked through some threads trying to find a fix to my crashing problem, There is something said about deleting the micfilter.ax file, but I do not know where to find this file. Could someone please explain this to me like I'm a 5 year old. I need step by step direction to try to fix this. I am running Windows 8.1 if that makes a difference. Thanks in Advance.
