OBS crashes with Assertion failure in void set_surface_colorspace

OBS crashes all the time just trying to add e.g. a Video Capture Device.

Just started OBS via command line:

open /Applications/OBS.app --fresh --stderr /Users/superpeter/obsoutput.txt

and received this output:
