So I was excited to test out Quick Sync, but I'm having trouble getting it to behave.
CPU: Intel i7-2600K w/ HD 3000 graphics
GPU: Nvidia GTX 560 (manufactured by MSI)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
2 monitors; monitor 1 is 1920x1200; monitor 2 is 1920x1080 and my "primary" monitor according to Win7; games get played on monitor 2.
When I first installed OBS 0.542b, Quick Sync was grayed out in the OBS settings. Download Gigabyte's Virtu control panel and add OBS.exe to the list of applications. Still grayed out. Update my drivers from Intel & Nvidia (it's been a while), Quick Sync option shows up in OBS settings.
At this point, I tried to Preview my stream, or just start streaming directly. Both cause OBS to crash immediately. It crashes on 32-bit and 64-bit if it's running under Virtu, even if Use Quick Sync isn't checked.
Here is a complete log from an attempt to preview. Let me know if you want me to get a complete core dump or other diagnostics etc.
