This is, unfortunately, a known issue with FTL on macOS. The full details are available on OBSProject Mantis Issue 1240 and mixer/ftl-sdk Pull Request 67. We're basically waiting for Mixer to fix it at this point. Until then, you'll have to use RTMP when streaming to Mixer on macOS.

That may be possible, but that's not my call to make. I don't know what it would affect to rollback the FTL update commit while keeping the rest of the OBS git master code base.

An update to this: the bug fix has been merged into Mixer's ftl-sdk code base. Mixer has now requested to merge that bug fix into OBS. If anyone is capable to compiling that pull request and testing it on macOS (or any FTL supported OS), I'd love to hear the results of your tests with the updated FTL code. Thanks!
