OBS "crashes" when running an NDI stream.

Hey everyone!

Bit of background on the situation. We use Dell Micro form factor PCs to run a Zoom/OBS hybrid setup with some NDI streams in our organisation. We have a number of these setup and working fine however there are a couple that experience the issues described below:

I've been struggling to tackle this issue where OBS crashes unexpectedly when running an NDI stream on a Windows device.
Running a clean install of Windows 11 Pro (24H2) and the latest version of OBS (v31.0.2) and NDI 6 Runtime and DistroAV x64 (v6.0.0)
Unfortunately the behaviour of "crashing" is the best I can describe it, in that there is still an OBS process running in the background however the software no longer appears and the stream stops. If you go to open a new instance of OBS, it says there is already one running. No crash logs recorded/created by OBS and nothing appears in Event Viewer that I can see.

Hardware specs are as follows:
CPU - 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900 2.00GHz
RAM - 16GB DDR4
Storage - 256GB NVMe

Any ideas? Dell support don't believe it's a hardware related issue and it quite possibly could be an NDI issue as well but thought I would post and see if anyone else has experienced this before.

Can confirm same issue for us. We've been trying to troubleshoot this for a couple months now and have found no resolution. Nothing in logs, obs and ndi updated. We went back to macbook pro in the meantime since it works with no issues.

With no OBS crash log, make we wonder if the issue isn't in NDI feed itself, NDI runtime, or that plugin..
I'm fortunate as my PTZ vendor provides their own Virtual USB driver to convert NDI feed to appear as local USB camera to OS... so I' able to avoid the NDI plugin
