Question / Help OBS crashes when I change scenes

When I start streaming to Twitch, it will be fine as long as I don't switch scenes. Once I change my scene, my kb/s drops from 3500, down to 0 kb/s. Though the OBS app is not crashing, this issue will kick me offline on Twitch. It's never happened before the update, but now it happens all the time. Someone suggested that it was my videocard, however, my PC is brand new, and was fine before.

Does anyone have this issue/know what to do?

Here is my recent log where this issue happened.

That's a normal log, can you upload a crash log?

Help -> Crash Reports -> Upload Last Crash Report

That's not a crash. That's a disconnect.

Do not use custom ffmpeg output for streaming.

It says that I don't have any crash reports, and I'm assuming that's because it's a disconnect and not a crash as Harold mentioned.

I don't know what custom ffmpeg is. How do I change this?

Change the mode in Settings -> Output to Simple, and try using a different encoder than the AMD AMF encoder. Looks like something inside the encoder is crashing, taking down your stream.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried what you mentioned above, and still get the same disconnect immediately. I still get the same disconnect with both encoder settings (AMD & x264).

Something similar: 0kb/s Disconnection with VLC Media Source (NaN/+-Inf)
This all about the audio sources in the 'Play scene'.
The first device is 'Elgato' with configured sample rate for the audio 48000Hz while you are set 44100Hz in OBS Studio. Then 'Alerts' (browser source) and 'Yeti' (Yeti Stereo Microphone source) - all can produce audio. Please, remove this sources one by one to find out which one causes errors in the log and disconnection (you can duplicate your current Scene Collection before removing sources).

Hello,

I was able to solve this problem by updating my video drivers for my graphics card. Literally had the exact same problem, updated my drivers, restarted comp, and it worked.

I spent a few hours trying to resolve this...
