Question / Help OBS Crashes when I add a source of any kind.

Okay, so I am trying to open use OBS to capture from my game capture card. Which works in the manufacturer's own software but when I try to use it in OBS it shows up but then when I try to add it as a source OBS crashes. PLEEEEEEASE HEEELP

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
MacOS 10.15.1
Blue Yeti X
AVerMedia - Live Gamer Portable 2 Plus (I also own an Elgato - Game Capture HD60 S+ and it does the same thing.)

That Elgato model is not supported for use with OBS on MacOS at all. Not sure what the issue is with the Avermedia. To use the Elgato you need the OBS NDI plugin and the OBS Link software.

In addition there are a number of issues running OBS with MacOS 10.15 "Catalina".

If OBS is mission critical for you and you have the facility to do it (say, you made a complete backup of your computer before upgrading) it may be advisable to downgrade to Mojave.

The last version of MacOS that supports all the features of the latest versions of OBS is 10.13 "High Sierra".
