OBS crashes when changing scene collections

This is a very strange crash, deep in the UI. Try removing third party plugins such as Scene Collection Manager to see if that solves the crash.

OP, I've had issues with this recently too. for me, when I switch from one Scene Collection to the other, OBS *looks* like it's crashing, so I would just go to Task Manager and end the task - but today I found that if I let it sit for a few minutes, it ends up switching to the other collection, even though it takes a while. try letting it sit for a second? hope this ends up working for you too, good luck!:)
