Hopefully this is the correct log, if not I'm sure I can produce another one its happened about 5 times now.

I don't normally do a lot of recordings but its never been an issue either. my 6850k failed and I had to warranty it with Intel this past month and so I just got PC back together and wanted to do several test recordings. don't recall having any issues using capture card with Nintendo Switch but PUBG is crashing OBS after recording a few minutes tops.

the properties of obs64 are set to admin so it should always open as admin, cpu usage is usually in the 50's but i noticed the log doesn't reflect OC of 4.2 etc.

either way any help is much appreciated

Just guessing, but I'd say you're overloading the USB bus.

First, don't run your webcam at 1080p resolution. Unless you're a camgirl or something, you don't need that. Run it at 540p or less.

Second, you've got two USB-based video devices here. Try to run them on different USB root hubs. You'll have to look at device manager to see if more than one root hub exists on your motherboard, and if it does, experiment to see which physical USB port is associated to which root hub. And then make sure your webcam and Elgato are on different ones.

The best practice is to get a PCIe capture card instead of USB. Save the USB bandwidth for the webcam.

thanks for fast response!
1. It is a PCIe El Gato HD60Pro so Webcam and Blue Yeti are the only relevant USB inputs and they should be using seperate controllers on mobo which is Asus x99 DeluxeII
originally I had Webcam and mic routing through a single usb3 hub but have since moved to the mobo ports after multiple hub crashes. none of this caused any instability tho.

2. with this in mind running my webcam shouldn't be causing this issue and either way I'm not even using my capture card when this is happening its direct game capture.

I re-installed OBS today and rebuilt my scenes so I'll try another test recording and post the log today or i can look for a diff log if that one didn't help

Ahh yes, I should have seen the part where it said HD60Pro, I just googled Elgato Game Capture HD and it came up as a USB device.

I would still set the webcam resolution down.

i can go to 720p but don't see a reason it has never been a problem in the past. hell i'm not even using webcam for recordings either... its literally JUST game capture and mic...

after re-installing OBS again the recording scene has just game capture and capture card which is hidden, no webcam etc.
everything looks perfect and then I'll look over and OBS is gone like it closed. I got a bit over 3 minutes of recording including lobby time so it closed just before landing on a roof top. video looks fine and just ends abrubtly.

Yeah I have no idea then. You've disproven my one hypothesis. There are other threads recently about OBS crashing, you might check them out and see if anyone has come up with any solutions.

after a 6hr stress test with Aida64 I'm pretty confident my PC is stable so either pubg or obs is creating instability when recording.

update: still working on this issue and it may be related to some usb issues, my webcam will freeze periodically and mouse/keyboard will go inop for a few seconds as well idk if these are causing the crashes but i do have a crash report along with a current log with where webcam just froze.
