you can reinstall a previous OBS version.
or ask to the plugin creator about an update.
or look for another plugin that does the same or similar.
or live wihout it.
Choices are hard it seems.

The crash is on a text source now.
Can you please post the log file generated at the moment of the crash?

Here is the current OBS log file before I close: https://obsproject.com/logs/eREA-6ZF8v0BeuQl
And here is the crash report I gathered after OBS crashed upon closing: https://obsproject.com/logs/ml2YNp5FsK1Dv_37
FYI I have already tried removing the text sources I am not using, but still I get the crash error after closing OBS. TIA

this is caused by a 3rd party plugin or possibly a browser source. unfortunately this error does not point to a specific plugin or source, it is more of a general error. on the upside, since it occurs after you close obs there doesn't appear to be any negative side effects. (i have had the same issue for about a year now, i just live with it)

what I find interesting is the computer where I imported the scene collection from does not encounter this. Only the new PC i've setup and started using the scene collection and profile is experiencing this crash error

You still have media control plugin installed. And a still in alpha stage plugin.
Too many plugins.

Remove them all and make sure you clean the %appdata%\obs-studio folder from any remaining file from the plugins, uninstall and reintall OBS in case something whent wrong. Test as is. Start adding one by one each plugin, testing each one before adding another. When you hit the crash you know which one is causing it. Now deside if you remove it or go back to 27.2.4

Yes, you need to redo all the configuration you did to the plugins.

thanks! I see the logic ;) install the plugins one by one from scratch and see what is causing and possibly fix from there.
It is very tedious, but definitely makes sense
