Question / Help OBS crashed midstream and bitrate was unstable upon restart + oscillating upload speed

Hello, I was streaming last night for 6 hours. The first 1.3 hours were perfect. Then OBS crashed. When I restarted OBS the stream was unstable for the 4.7 hours afterwards with the bitrate fluctuating quite a bit, even though I was using CBR. I would be very grateful if someone experienced could help me interpret if OBS was to blame for this crash or was it my settings/hardware.

My other question is about how the upload speed oscillates quite a bit. I have about 7.7ish Mbps up, so I have set my bitrate at 4000, but the speed at which this is sent oscillates between about 3 and 5 Mbps when I'm using veryfast, sometimes spiking higher and lower. If I use faster, my cpu load is still quite reasonable ~10%, but the oscillation increases to between 2 and 7 and the stream becomes unstable, so I stay on veryfast. Is this normal?

I've attached the logs for both parts of the stream, the crash log, a capture of the Twitch Inspector report, and a couple captures of the ethernet usage while using veryfast encoding from my performance monitor.

Thank you so much for any elucidation you can provide and for your time in doing so.

x264 crashes indicate hardware instability. Turn off any overclocks and make sure your BIOS is updated, early Ryzen CPUs have defective microcode which is known to crash.

Hmmm, thank you. I haven't done any overclocking, but I also have not flashed my BIOS out of fear of bricking my board. But I guess I'll have to give that a go.
