Hello,

I am kinda new to recording so I don't know what do...

When I started up OBS to try to preview how my stream looked like if I would stream, it crashed when I had selected the "SMI Grabber Device" as a source.

If you could help me out that would be great!

I'm actually really happy you included all three important items, crash log, crash dump, and regular log. People don't usually do that and it can be a bit frustrating (I think we really need to somehow automate this process for users)

So, "SMI Grabber Device" for some reason is having issues with the resolution that might have been set. I'm not entirely sure what sort of device this is, I've never heard of it before. I'd like to potentially buy one if possible so I can debug this problem first hand.

Well, it shows up on my computer as 'SMI Grabber Device' but it looks almost exactly like an EasyCap recorder (without the brand on it).

We bought (as its original purpose to get videos from an old camcorder) it in some shop in the country i live in together with a cd.

I tried recording a ps2 game with that program that was on that cd (and it worked), but later it didnt anymore later, and it then only recorded the audio (in the obs it also detects some sounds from that, but i cant hear that)

Sounds like you have yourself an un-supported off brand capture card, my friend. I've not heard of "SMI Grabber device" either. Even I'm a bit stumped.

I really need to get the device to be able to make sure it's supported or not -- it's difficult to debug these things remotely so I usually just buy the capture cards myself
