This is somewhat of a known issue with switchable adapter laptops (two adapters, one for power saving and one for performance). They tend to have these sort of issues (something wrong with the drivers).
First, try updating your drivers if you haven't (though I'm betting they're probably up-to-date).
Secondly, if all else fails, run the game in a borderless/windowed mode and try window capture instead, often it's a bit more 'safe' to use, and is still pretty high performance.
