just bought a new GTX 970 and tried recording with OBS.. crashes immediately upon pressing the record button.

Records fine with my radeon 7970, but crashes with the GTX 970.

OBS crash report and image of my driver crashing is attached.

Advice?

Thanks

You have both a Radeon 7970 and a GTX 970 running in the same system? Or was the Radeon replaced with the GTX and you're saying it used to work with the old card but now it doesn't with the new one?

already did that when i first installed the card. Did it now again.. same problem. Other recording software works fine (D3DGear)

D3DGear is actually the culprit here. It must be uninstalled completely as it conflicts horribly with OBS. Closing it isn't enough.

I only downloaded and installed D3DGear because I was having issues with OBS... had never used it before.

This video card has been giving me a bunch of issues since I got it. Whenever I alt tab in a few different games (GTA, Elite Dangerous, Planetside 2) I get crashes or major graphical issues. Not sure what the problem is.
