Question / Help OBS crash on start up

my OBS studio has started crashing on start up out of nowhere, the only thing I can think I changed was my appdata folder, but all I did was make it not hidden and even if I try to revert it back it still crashes. OBS studio 32bit will open, but when I try to edit the file location of anything it crashes as well.

Post your current OBS Log (Help | Log Files | View Current Log)

The crash log shows that you did something (or an outside agent did) to cause this crash through interaction with OBS Studio. The comdlg32.dll is a system Windows library that is used to bring up dialog boxes to do the following:

- Change Font
- Find or Replace Text
- Color
- Print
- Save, Open File

Were you doing anything like the above to cause this crash from within OBS Studio 64?

If no, something else did. And if thats the case, you may have a corrupted DLL file or virus on your system. I would strongly recommend virus scanning your entire system just in case one of these DLLs got hacked and replaced. Then, run a system scan on all these system files to validate their integrity. You can read about how to do that for Windows 10 from Microsoft here:
