I don't want you to live with the runescape issue - I just don't know why it's occurring as of yet. I haven't heard of this happening to others so I'm baffled as to what's going on here. You might have to alternatively run the game in a borderless or windowed mode, and then capture with window capture.

I'm encountering the same exact issue.

I went to originally broadcast off twitch.tv until my OBS came back with an error. I looked on twitch to find out they have shut down the site permanently.

I've relocated my streaming to Connectcast™ and I've reset my settings for Connectcast.

Here is what I've tried:

  • Operated on windowed mode in game and monitor capture
  • switched to " file output only"
  • previewed stream instead of actual streaming
Upon clicking the "preview stream" or "start streaming" in any mode. the sound looks like it is recording for about 5 seconds but shows no picture. shortly after I receive an OBS crash report popup.

Post the crash report.

Twitch did not shut down, they're the biggest streaming site out there. They just shut down justin.tv, which is the non-gaming stuff.
