Question / Help OBS consistently crashes

If you use the settings I linked for recording, the encoder will decide on a bitrate that allows for full quality retention regardless of other settings.
crf of 15, buffer of 0 forces the encoder to ignore the actual bitrate number.

Ah. Ok thanks

Check your CPU usage using task manager, and maybe check your CPU temperature using a program called HWMonitor. Overheating CPU will make the CPU run very slow.

If CPU usage is a problem, you may change your recording tab to "intel quicksync" or "NVENC" encoder with bitrate higher then 9000 Kbps, or if you don't mind with your recording having not so good quality, set encoder to "Use Stream Encoder"

The game doesn't seem to have any performance issues, but the recording just comes out bad. Wouldn't the CPU overheating affect the game as well?
