Question / Help OBS completely broken after 20.1.0 update? (No, twitch is down as of this post)

I reported yesterday that after the update, OBS would just randomly stop my stream and i'd have to click "Start Streaming" again to get it running. That was bad enough.

Today, however, when i click "Start Streaming" nothing happens. OBS says it's streaming, but it's never reaches Twitch.

Really, really, really want to just roll back to the previous update where OBS worked wonderfully for me. Anyone have a link to the previous version?

Going to do a clean reinstall to the previous version. Maybe that'll get things working again. I hope.

This is likely an issue on Twitch's side if they aren't publishing your stream. RTMP publishing was not changed in the latest version.

What antivirus and firewall do you use?
Have you tried using x264 instead of the amd encoder?

I wanted to start a stream half an hour ago and i got the same problem.

i spoke to another twitch streamer from who i know is using OBS studio as well and he's got no problem

It's probably twitch if that's the service you're all using.

I just tried going back to the previous version 20.0.1 and it's not working either :( Twitch

I tried going to x264 with the same result. I'm not a tech guy, all i know is i've been streaming fine for weeks. As soon as i update yesterday, OBS stops working. That's all i know.

I rolled back to 20.0.1 and i appear to be back online.

It's not the update that caused the issue.

after resetting my stream key i got the error that the system could not open the specific channel or stream key. and that is could be possible that the channel or stream key is invalid or that the server thinks that i am still live

Definitely sounds like twitch broke again.

yeah i think so too so i canceled the stream for today and will be busy with updating stuff thanks for the help anyway
