Question / Help OBS compatibility with Sony Vegas?

Hello,

I've started using obs as my main way to record videos, but I've run into a bit of a snag. My main/only editing software is Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8.0. The problem I'm having is that whenever I import OBS recordings into Vegas, I only get the audio. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I also have this issue, however using Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 (a bit outdated, but might be a similar reason)

The curious thing is the video plays fine in multiple media players (and even can be uploaded directly to youtube without issue), but loading it into Sony Vegas it won't even open a video layer for me, only the audio layer.
I made sure it saved as a .mp4 file, as Sony Vegas can have issues with .flv (ChaKha, if you haven't done that, advise checking that)

I've looked in so many places and can't find an issue to this problem
It's not unique to OBS admittedly, a few .mp4 files have this issue, while others run fine. I guess maybe related to how they are encoded, if someone could provide a solution to this I'd be appreciative.

This thread seems to have been ignored, but it's a similar issue, so hopefully bumping it someone can at least try and help?
