Question / Help OBS closing WoW instantly while active

I'm trying to set up OBS with World of Warcraft as it has been a few months since I last did any streaming. Now anytime I have WoW open and either click on the OBS window or start a preview of the game it closes out of WoW instantly. WoW's program instantly goes away faster than I could even close the program myself. I've tried previewing a few other games and they all run fine. I have also tried to active the anti-cheat on OBS to see if WoW was detecting it as a third party program. I don't know what is causing the problem to start a fix, and atm I have no method to test anything with wow's immediate closure.

There is no error log or anything of the sort either so I can't post that.

Doing a Google search resulted in finding this thread, but there is nothing relevant for me as I do not use any of the programs asked there.

This is usually caused by conflicting programs that are also trying to hook the game; anti-cheat compatibility won't get around that in most cases. Including but not limited to: EVGA Precision, MSI Afterburner, Razer Gamebooster and Synapse software, TS3/Mumble/etc. overlays, Raptr/Overwolf/etc. companion programs, D3DGear, and Dolby Axon. Some antivirus software can also cause problems so be sure that the OBS installation directory is added to its whitelist.
