Question / Help OBS client been acting weird

For some reason my OBS has been feeling laggy itself. When i ever i click start stream it tends to lag before starting and or closing it? any reasons why this is happening. It also seems to be upping my ping on my games when i try to stream

Is it truly the UI of OBS that feels laggy or just that particular action that feels laggy? Because some delay is not uncommon when starting/stopping a stream. As far as increasing ping ingame while streaming -- that usually is indicative of streaming at a bitrate that is close to your actual maximum real world upload. In other words, not leaving any bandwidth for the game. Which does naturally increase latency in the game. The solution would be to simply drop the bitrate in OBS in steps of 50 Kbps until the ping ingame behaves normally.

Okay yeah the UI itself has been actin a bit weird! i just had this laggy issue fixed a few days ago and my first stream was fine then the other day i streamed with the same settings and this is what came up.

Again, if there is a mild delay after clicking Start Streaming that does not necessarily mean the UI of OBS is lagging. Just that starting the stream is taking a bit of time.

Which is no surprise in your case...

You cannot maintain that bitrate, apparently. You dropped almost half of all frames. That is... far, far, far too much. Anything over, say, 5% really will show and 48% probably was unwatchable.

Could it be my ISP? if my connection with them is unstable for that night or weak it could have messed my stream and game up. Since these settings last time were just fine i cant find any other explanation

Yes. It could be your ISP. Or a CDN ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_delivery_network ) in between you and Twitch having a temporary issue. Or your router having an issue. Or... any of a number of things.

To rule out a local issue, you could try simply restarting/rebooting (NOT resetting) your router and making sure no malware was installed on your PC that is eating bandwidth.

Okay so called them and got a reboot and everything seems fine. I had to drop to 2600 mb and i can see the blurry/quality be much weaker but heres the logs.
