I posted an unlisted video on Youtube looking for assistance.

I'm really not sure what's going on, everyone else makes it look so simple.

I've spent a small fortune on both the lighting kit and greenscreen.

The green-screen is exactly 2 feet away from me and their aren't any improvements when it's closer.

Here are current camera specs:

I am using the Logitech C920 as it's what I've seen many other streamers use.

Also, here's an image of the actual setup.

Can anyone help me figure out why there's so much static?

The Chroma Key Color itself is waaay off from the image shown. Try using the Select option next to the Color and click the center of your screen then try to find a nice balance between blend and similarity. set spill reduction to about 20 and it'll be good. I normally don't have my similarity set that high. Mine's set to 80 which works fine for me

You might also want to experiment with your white balance. I've had an issue with my C920 where it resets to the left every time I reset my PC. Try adjusting it to where your skin color seems normal. That should at least help :-)

Yep, need to have the preview active, then hit 'select', then click in the preview window. The green box there is the color it's looking for, and your screen is a much darker/less saturated green.

Far as white balance, I just use a piece of white paper, turn on auto-balance and then untick it once it's calibrated itself. Heard of a few people with the reset problem, believe one was fixed by moving their c920 off of a USB 3.0 port (which are known to cause major problems with the c920) to a 2.0 port.

Okay, I will try that! Thanks for the response! :)

Does anyone know what the distance between my chair and the green screen should be?

As far as you can get it. You want it far back so you don't ever throw a shadow on it, and so you don't get backlit by your screen lighting (if you have separate screen lights). Though with one that small, going too far isn't really feasible. I sit 4' in front of mine, and would be happier at 5-6' but I don't have the space.

To piggyback on this, I am running multiplatform 0.12.2, with a C920, and I am not having any option to add chroma key.
