Question / Help OBS Chat problem

Hiya everyone,

I'm very new to OBS but enjoying my experience so far. The problem I have got is I put a youtube chat stream into my game overlay (so to view all the chat as its being type) but as it reaches the bottom of the chat window...the chat stays at the bottom and only replaces itself on the bottom line.

I record and stream on Youtube....any advice will be warmly greated :)

So a few questions. What software are you using yo display chat? Something like Streamlabs? Can you post/link to an example video recorded via OBS showing said issue please?

Sadly I havent got a live version of when it happened. I was using the Youtube chat settings onto a normal OBS overlay. So basically copied the Youtube Pop up chat url and pasted it into OBS and it works well until it reaches the bottom. I managed to get some screenshots though.

I highly suggest trying out Streamlabs chat overlay as a browser source for chat. You just need to log into their site using your Youtube account and it will let you set up several very cool feature for your stream, including the chat overlay.

But without more information on how your browser source is set up and a video showing it, it is hard for me to understand how to fix it the way you have it configured right now. So a screenshot of the properties window for the browser source for the chat and a video of the problem accuring. But as I said, I highly recommend using Streamlabs as your chat overlay instead.

Same here.
My YT chat was all good while streaming just by setting up a browser source with YouTube chat popup address and some code found online for sizing and transparency. After updating to New version or does not work. Even when I run it without a code just with a popup link the text in a window says no chat available so I can't enable the chat on steamed video.
Looks like I'm not the only one having that issue.
