Question / Help OBS Changes Color Scheme w/ Monitor Capture

When I launch OBS it changes my color scheme to Windows 7 Basic due to an incompatibility issue between Win7 and OBS. I know the fix for this would be to enable Aero in Settings -> Video, however I use monitor capture rather than Game Capture because I want to show everything on my main monitor rather than just a game tab, and enabling Aero while using monitor capture makes streaming very choppy compared to having it disabled.

Is there a way for OBS to not force Windows 7 to change the color scheme while using monitor capture?

avoid what?
Avoid Windows 7 changing the color scheme. I want to use monitor capture rather than Game capture, and the only thing I can seem to do to fix the issue is turn on Aero, which makes streaming laggy while using monitor capture.

You just explained in your first post you know the option to change that?
Also, don't use monitor capture, do what i just said instead.

I want to use monitor capture, not game capture.

Therefore, I need to have Aero disabled because if it isn't, my performance gets pretty questionable.

Is there any other way to avoid having windows change the color scheme? I understand if there isn't but I'm just curious.

We know you're not trying to capture a game. DWM.exe is the program that runs the window manager. If you leave Aero enabled and use game capture on DWM.exe, then it will capture your monitor efficiently. (Make sure DIsable Aero is unchecked in Video settings.)

Ahh I forgot to uncheck Disable Aero before checking for DWM in the source. Thank you very much.
