my obs is causing my system to have these random freezes for 5-10 seconds, sometimes they happens frequently, other times not so much. the problem only happens when i am previewing my stream or actually streaming. i dont understand why it is doing this because it hasnt always done this, only recently, like the past month or so, and its gotten worse as of recently.

these are my system specs

  • Motherboard-MSI 970 Gaming
  • CPU-AMD FX-8350 Black Edition
  • Ram-32Gb Corsair Vengeance
  • GPU1-MSI r9 290x gaming 8g
  • GPU2-MSI r9 290x gaming 8g
  • System SSD-PNY XLR8 120Gb
  • Games SSD-PNY XLR8 Pro 480Gb

i dont know where that is, the debug file has nothing in it.
You should use OBS studios if you crosfire or SLI. reason being is that version of OBS has a multi adapter option under game capture properties https://obsproject.com/download#mp

on an interesting note, this seems to only happen when i try to use some kind of media while streaming, so if i use win media player to have music, or if i use pandora on any web browser (tested on IE, CHrome and firefox) i ran a test for 2 hours with no media and it was fine, but once i opened up pandora it started freezing almost instantly, i use virtual audio cables and a program called che volume for sound mixing. i dont know if these programs are in conflict with each other or what, but this is a strange problem.

You should set your resolution in obs down. Doenscale to 1.5 720p30fps to reach better quality and less blurring. Probably set your max bitrate up to 2000-2500. But check your internet connection first and maybe post it here.

you didn't encode in that log. either record or stream for 5 minutes then post that log. if you are running multiGPU, switch to OBS Studios that I linked above.

Check audio format of all programs and audio devices. make sure they are all the same. this includes VAC and OBS (encoding tab)
