Afternoon guys,
Apologies for the roundabout approach but i can't find much using Google so using this as my last resort before i just wipe my new PC and start over.
As it stands, over the course of the last few weeks, i've noticed on 3 games so far (PUBG Test Servers, Dauntless & Middle Earth: Shadow Of War) the games have been crashing whilst streaming, once the game crashes, OBS is still running and states i'm streaming but is not sending any data and refuses to stop the stream when pressed to do so thus leading my to have to hard exit (using task manager) from both the game in question and OBS.
The reason i come here is because the only thing in common between all 3 games is that they were being streamed at the time via OBS. My PC Specs are as follows:
CPU: Intel i7-7700k 4.2GHz
GPU: EVGA GTX1080 FTW 8GB GDDR5x
RAM: 16GB DDR4 2300MHz
SSD/HDD: 250GB SSD, 1TB HDD
PSU: EVA 700W Bronze
From the above, my PC is nowhere near under specced for streaming, yet this PC seems to be struggling more than my 6 year old PC did which was a lot worse in spec. I'm currently using the most up-to-date version of OBS 20.1.3 (from memory, can check later tonight). Does anyone have any advice as to what may be causing this? All other games work fine and i've been streaming on this PC since September without issues so i find it strange it's only recently started.
