Recently just started playing read dead redemption 2 roleplay on RedM. Everytime i would play the server my game would suddenly turn black for a split second then crash. I found that closing obs fixed it. I posted this in the servers discord in the support channel and another member had the same problem. They said it recently happened after the most recent update. Has anyone found a resolution or does this happen to anyone else.

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...
OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

Usually, the black screen is a driver crash, so I expected something like "device reset" message in OBS too (OBS also uses GPU acceleration) but I see nothing in this log. Just long route to hook the GL application that may lead to the crash (probably, it is known issue: https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/issues/9168).
If game can be captured via Display Capture source you may try it instead. Vulkan renderer is a mystery. Maybe hooks for these games is not a perfect solution. Also, consider to move to 2 PC setup with capture card.
