OBS causing Big Audio Problems when watching YouTube

Open OBS. Then click on Firefox Browser. Click on a YouTube and my Speakers start blaring out a loud reverberating medium to high pitched sound, on top of the YouTube audio.
Close OBS and loud reverberating medium to high pitched sound stops.
So I tried Zoom Meetings and got the exact same problem.
I shut down all my Sources in OBS, but the problem is still happening.
So I had to shut down OBS again.
How can I run OBS without getting this terribly loud sound?
 
Hi Brendon, welcom in the forum.

What's your aim with OBS? How do you use it? For what?

Proof if you have in the advanced audio tab set "monitoring off" instead of "output and monitoring" for desktop audio.
(Background: There seems to be a loop. Possibly related to monitoring and desktop-audio aso.)
