OBS causes The Division 2 game crash to desktop

Just info for OBS devs, if they are still not aware:

OBS causes The Division 2 CTS's, if Game Capture source was used.
Game works fine, if windows capture used instead. Too bad its reduces perfomance.
Its started with latest game update, maybe caused by game's anticheat.

The latest game update breaks the compatibility with current version (26.1.1). The only workaround is by using the prior to current one. Reported working so far with no crash with version 26.0.2. Definitely Easy Anti-Cheat is causing all the crashes

If you have 2 computers you can reduce gaming CPU load with video capture of HDMI out from the game into PC running OBS.
I use the MiraBox USB 3.0 b/c it has zero-lag HDMI passthru. It is the only video capture I have tried, but many to review that would help.
There is a thread on OBS forum for MiraBox audio, and youtube video for OBS audio with MiraBox that works for me.
(not difficult but not PnP like the video is)

Or if you already have a GB switch and a 2nd PC, you can try NDI OBS plugin. This will also offload CPU from the gaming device, but idk if your game would have same problem with the OBS plugin required for NDI.

SOLUTION:

I just finished a support incident with Ubisoft & found out that if you:

- Open OBS

- Settings-->Output-->Advanced:

-Encoder:Nvidia Envenc(New)

-Bitrate:2500kbps

-Rescale to:720p

-Key frame:0

-Max B-frames:2

- Settings-->Video:

-Output resolution:720p

-FPS:30

- Close OBS

- Start The Division 2 and let it sit in-game for at least 30 min (I let it sit in-game for around twenty min only moving character once in a while in order for game not to quit to Main Menu, and then I played for 30 - 40 minutes)

- Start OBS

- Start streaming, without changing any setting, on 720p @ 30 FPS

Played and streamed for more than an hour without any CTD

I run OBS as Admin first making sure everything is how i like it. Then Load up Geforce Experience and make sure Division 2 is set to optimize. Lunch the game through GE, set everything to High and the game runs and streams at 900p60 without issues. (Well for me anyway) I run on a Intel i5 10400f RTX 2060 Super
