OBS cannot see two cameras at the same time... Is there a fix?

Hello.

I have an apple mac running Yosemite. I have a USB camera with built in mic. Just as an example, so that I know they both work, If I facetime I can choose whether to use the built in camera or my USB camera, but not both.

In Obs, when I create a scene, I can select either camera, but lets say I select the built in camera then the usb camera will not show. If I close the program down and select the USB camera first then the built in camera will not show.

Does anyone know a FIx for this so that I can see both cameras at the same time?

I am not currently on the mac, I am on a PC hence I cannot upload a log file.

I've also just found out that although I can run 2 instances of Quicktime, I can still only choose one camera. Also, I cannot set up OBS and lets say Quick time or camera live and select one source as a camera and the other source as a screen capture... Therefore is this a Mac problem rather than an OBS problem?
