Question / Help Obs cannot initialize desktop audio sound more info in the log file

I have tried solving this problem and have had no solution yet. I am using the Razer Kraken Pro 7.1 headset I get the error code 88890008 which is defined as AUDCLNT_E_UNSUPPORTED_FORMAT. I have looked on the forums, many people have had this problem and they say it may be something wrong with the driver Razer Synapse 2.0 . I analyzed the log files and read it over multiple times, telling me to disable razer synapse on start up, which does not help. I will attach the log file below.

Is Razer Synapse the same thing as the Kraken launcher? Because it's the Kraken Launcher that needs to be disabled (and then reboot).

Alternatively, I believe it works if you run 64bit OBS.

I am right now looking back at all things accosiated with razer synapes and they have been disabled and still does not work

But what does work is 64 bit thank you!

I'm getting the same error but I'm not using a Razer Synapse. I've got a cheap little Plantonics headset that worked fine just two nights ago, and when I went to start recording today I started getting this error. The log generates this:

18:19:43: Audio Format: 48000 Hz

Warning -- MMDeviceAudioSource::Initialize(0): Could not create IAudioClient = 88890004

Error: Cannot initialize desktop audio sound, more info in the log file.

And then OBS closes. Like I said it was working fine two nights ago and now it's doing this. I'm thinking it's something with the sound card on the comp but not sure. Any ideas?
