Hi, all. I'm a newbie to use the OBS studio software to record some video lectures.
I installed the OBS studio the day before yesterday and I finished to set to record video.
I installed iShowU software to capture the sound, created a multiple output device, and made the OBS studio capture the sound.
So it has worked very well. But one problem occurred today.
I had 2 video lectures schedule today.
The first one was from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and the other one was from 13:00 PM to 14:30 PM.
So I recorded the two video lectures and the first one is no problem, but the second recorded video lecture dropped the sound.
I checked the sound bar was activated through the green gauge moved up and down during recording.
but the sound was not recorded correctly.
Of course, there was one odd point. The message that the CPU is overloaded occurred in the left bottom corner.
Anyway, I found the log file and read the content. And I found many frames dropped out (about 51%).
To make sure it more, I searched the OBS forum and I found a similar case below.
https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...ut-nothing-in-recording-stream-solved.100881/
Through my case and the above case, because of some reason, such as the high-resolution video recording .etc,
I think if the CPU usage is too high or some recording process is buffered, the sound can be dropped.
So I changed my setting from 60fps to 30 fps.
So, I want to know 3 things.
1. Is my inference correct or not? What do you think about my inference?
2. Is there anyone who has a similar experience like me?
3. will the fps setting changing work well, or not? If not, I will consider changing the resolution from 720p to 586p (16:9).
I attach my log file and if there are some mistakes, I really apologize.
Thank you for reading my thread. :)
