Question / Help OBS bug window capture with vlc or window media

Hello,
when i want to show my vlc screen on obs, i have a white screen, i tried with other software but the results is the same, if someone can help me find the problem?

It's not a bug. It's a property of how those media players render.

So, is there a way around this? A manipulation or other software like vlc?

With VLC you can change the output renderer to something else and window capture will start working. I can't remember which ones work with window capture.

Generally for capturing media like that you use media or vlc source directly in obs instead of trying to window capture a media player.

thank you for your answer Harold, I wanted to go back a few seconds in the video but with the video directly in obs, I can not, that's why I wanted to use vlc

don't do like this.
go to https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html click on the arrow and download VLC 64 bit version.

remove your older version and install this 64bit version.
Now it will start showing in the Source list.
