Question / Help OBS Blackscreen On Final Fantasy 7 PC (1998)

I've been wanting to record the 1998 Version of Final Fantasy 7, but for some reason OBS only show a black screen when using both Game Capture and Window Capture. Other programs such as FRAPS and even the the old Hypercam 2 are able to record it but i wanna use OBS to record it like my other games but can't.

You will likely need to use window capture for a game that old.

I stated above i tried both game capture and window capture. Thats why i was asking for help.

Hmm, i thought I had this game somewhere to test but looks like I don't.

At this point, I'd guess that display capture is going to be your only option. Old games are such a pain to capture. :(

sorry to bump my old issue but i found a solution to my problem. i just got dxtory and had the settings set to direct draw output only then open obs studio and set dxtory as a video capture source. this fixed my issue so if you could pass the solution to other people who want record ff7 pc (1998 version). thanks
