Question / Help OBS Blackscreen issue, Desktop, AMD

Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong area.

Long story short, i've got an AMD desktop/tower PC and I keep running into a black screen issue with OBS. Audio is fine however.

To sum things up, I am using Windows 8.1, an AMD card, and this is NOT a laptop.

Please respond as soon as your available.

It appears that it connected with the game once. Another time it didn't connect, while two other times it appears it didn't even find the window (which usually suggests configuration mishap but not sure).

Otherwise, there could be a conflict, but I'm just not sure of that either. Conflicts must be completely disabled and deactivated, or sometimes at worst uninstalled. I don't know if it's a conflicting program, but I'll give you the copy & paste for conflicting applications though just in case:

(Cue copy & paste: ) These could be other capture programs, game mods and graphics mods (sweetfx in particular), graphics card utilities like msi afterburner or the EVGA 'K boost' feature (I think it's called), or programs that put in custom in-game overlays for their program, such as teamspeak/mumble overlays, or razer overlays. If you're using "D3Dgear" (a very invasive program), you must completely completely uninstall it to fix the issue.

The only thing i have running alongside my games is the razor synapse system, am i correct in assuming that the synapse could be the cause of the issue?

It's possible, though I honestly am not sure what the problem is. I'm mostly just throwing out ideas.

Well, i've tried a few things, uninstalling and reinstalling a few things and i'm still getting the same issue. Did a bit more research and apparently, the issue might be Aero, which i can't disable in windows 8.
